Timeboxing

Schedule tasks directly onto your calendar to plan exactly what to work on and when.

Sunsama lets you timebox (or timeblock) tasks directly onto your calendar. This helps you decide exactly what to work on and for how long.

How to timebox a task

The simplest method is to drag and drop a task onto the calendar at the desired time.

You can also:

  • Hover over a task and press X to auto-schedule it
  • Right-click a task and select “Add to calendar”

Timeboxing and your calendar

When you timebox a task, it appears as an event in your external calendar (Google, Outlook, or iCloud) or on Sunsama’s internal calendar.

If you prefer not to clutter your external calendar with scheduled tasks, you can use Sunsama’s internal calendar option.

You can manage these settings for timeboxed tasks:

  • Privacy — Whether the event appears as private
  • Availability — Whether it shows as busy/free
  • Reminders — Notification settings
  • Default calendar — Which calendar receives the events
  • Channel linking — Route events to specific calendars by channel
